The Museum of Art and History occupies buildings within Auxerre’s abbey complex, including the aboot’s lodgings, the 14C cellar, the monks’ hall, the 12C chapter house and the sacristy. Highlights include the Gallo-Roman Room (Gaulish runes, trivet and Etruscan vessels) and the Prehistory and Protohistory Room (covering the Paleolithic, Neolithic, Bronze and Iron Ages using reconstructions).
