Belfort : Michelin's recommendations

Situated on the banks of the Savoureuse river, Belfort stands in the gap between the Jura and Vosges mountains. The town is made up of two sections: the old town, dominated by its famous lion, on the left bank; and the new town, with its many factories and attractive gardens. This proud town is the birthplace of Jean-Pierre Chevènement, the mayor of Belfort, who holds the record for the largest number of resignations from ministerial positions in the French government.
