Bourg-en-Bresse
: Michelin's recommendations
Bourg, a large market town in the fertile Bresse region, is famous for its poultry, as well as being a centre for furniture made from the wood of fruit trees. This and other industrial activities have endowed Bourg with the image of a lively and dynamic city. Bourg owes its architectural renown to the superb monastery commissioned by Marguerite of Austria to a master Flemish stonemason, Van Boghem.
