Le Creusot : Michelin's recommendations

In a rural setting which contrasts strongly with its industrial appearance, Le Creusot was already known for its coal in the 16C. It then had amazing growth when the Schneider brothers moved there in 1836. What attracts visitors today is, of course, the exceptional industrial heritage more so now following the creation of the Ecomuseum, which burst out into the city. The city forms with Montceau-les-Mines [Montceau-les-Mines#] an urban community of more than 100,000 inhabitants.
