Inaugurated in 1960 and named after Jean Behra (French racing driver who died in 1959), the Nevers-Magny-Cours car/motorcycle circuit has since been the venue of many competitions. The most prestigious of these are the French Formula 1 Grand Prix (since 1991) and the French Motorcycle Grand Prix. Within the enclosure, which can accommodate 110 000 spectators, now includes a technopole as well as leisure and reception infrastructures.
