This former mining town lies in the Rahin valley to the northwest of Belfort. A museum and an International Mining Archives Centre testify to its rich industrial past (the last colliery closed in 1958). The town is, however, better known for the chapel of Notre Dame du Haut, designed by Le Corbusier.
