Saint-Claude
: Michelin's recommendations
First and foremost, Saint-Claude occupies a magnificent site at the confluence of the Bienne and Tacon rivers, best admired from Place Louis XI. This setting was the reason for the construction of a very famous and prosperous abbey in former times, of which only the Cathédrale Saint-Pierre, with its remarkable fortified apse, remains. The town is also known for its arts and crafts, in particular pipes, and as a base for exploring the Parc Naturel Régional du Haut-Jura.
