Close to the source of the River Yonne, Mont Beuvray has a flat summit detached from the Haut Morvan massif. Inhabited since Neolithic times, Mont Beuvray (821m) was selected in the 2C BC by the powerful Aedui tribe as their capital: Bibracte. Contextualised by excavations which continue to reveal new discoveries and the huge Celtic civilisation museum, this is one of the Morvan’s most popular sites.
