Climb up Monte Cinto
Climb up Monte Cinto : Michelin's recommendations
Monte Cinto (2 706m) is the "roof of Corsica". Only highly trained climbers should attempt the ascent. The path takes you through the glacial cirque formed by Monte Falo and Monte Cinto. It winds its way through the craggy morainic landscape to the bottom of the Monte Cinto rock face. After the Erco mountain refuge (1 667m), the path goes up via the southeast crest and makes its way through the passage formed by the Biccarellu corridor on the right and an isolated rocky head known as Petra Fisculina on the left. From the summit, the panoramic view takes in all of Corsica and reaches as far as the Alpes-Maritimes and the islands of the Tyrrhenian Sea.
