Climb up Monte Cinto
: Michelin's recommendations
Monte Cinto (2 706m altitude) is the "roof of Corsica". Ascending it is recommended for the highly trained only. The path takes you through the glacial cirque formed by Mt Falo and Monte Cinto. It winds its way through the craggy morainic landscape until it reaches the bottom of the Monte Cinto rock face. After the Erco mountain refuge (1 667m altitude), the path ascends via the southeast crest and makes its way through the passage formed by the Biccarellu corridor on the right and an isolated rocky head called Petra Fisculina on the left. From the summit, the panoramic view takes in all of Corsica.
