The Art Gallery has paintings and sculptures from the 18C to the 20C. Local artist Pierre Charles Tremolieres (1703-1739) takes pride of place. As regards contemporary art, geometric abstract works predominate. The history gallery evokes Cholet in 1793, during the Vendée Wars. There is a series of famous full-length portraits of Vendée generals (La Rochelaquelain, Cathelineau...) commissioned by Louis XVIII for Château Saint-Cloud.
