This Renaissance residence near the valleys of the Loire and the Beauce is redolent of the poetry of Ronsard, who was inspired by Cassandre, a former chatelaine of Talcy. Visitors are charmed on entering the first galleried courtyard with its rose-decked well; the second courtyard has a 16C dovecot and 300 year-old wine press which still works. The gardens have been restored as a fine traditional orchard. Inside, the building has retained its original appearance: 17C-18C tapestries and furniture.
