Beynac-and Cazenac Castle : Michelin's recommendations
This castle belonged to Richard the Lion Heart and then to Simon of Monfort in 1214. It achieved its definite from when Lord of Beynac undertook its reconstruction. The massive architectural ensemble, which can be seen today, is fruit of a construction which took place between the 13C and the 17C. The inside of the castle offers certain curious features but you will mainly be tempted by the magnificent view over the Dordogne Valley, visible from the wall walk.

un site merveilleux que cette forteresse de beynac et cazenac avec un magnifique panorama sur la dordogne et un arrêt pour dejeuner ou diner entre amis s'impose au retaurant de la petite tonnelle le bourg 24220 beynac et cazenac : vous y dégusterez une excellente cuisine du terroir qui ravit l'oeil autant que les papilles de plus l'accueil y est chaleureux dans un cadre simple mais très agréable. (ce retaurant devrait figurer au guide michelin )
