This museum boasts a major prehistoric collection, such as engraved objects from the Magdalenian period found in the Dordogne and an ethnographic section with objects from everyday life and sculptures from Africa, Oceania and America. Exhibits include a skeleton of the Regourdou man, Grande Demoiselle - a sculpture by Étienne Hajdu (1907-96) -, and a statuette of Buddha. A fine and decorative arts section presents 16C-20C works in chronological order. The cloisters house a lapidary collection.
