This cylindrical monument dating from the 12C is also known as the Tour St-Bernard or St Bernard’s tower, in honour of this saint who visited Sarlat and was said to have blessed bread which miraculously cured the sick. The building houses two rooms, although the upper room is strangely inaccessible. The actual function of the building remains a mystery.
