Lucien-Beaufrère Public Gardens Interesting : Michelin's recommendations

These gardens were designed between 1932 and 1935 over the site of St Pierre Abbey, the remains of which adjoin the town hall. Note the auditorium, part bandstand, part washhouse, decorated with enamelled sandstone tiles, and the war memorial with bas-reliefs that depict the local trades. There is a beautiful view of the old town from the banks of the Yèvre River.
