These gardens were designed in 1929 over the site of Saint Peter's Abbey the remains of which adjoin the town hall. Observe the auditorium (1935) by Albert Collet, and the pavilion-washing room decorated with enamelled sandstone tiles. The war memorial is decorated with bas-reliefs which recall the local trades. There is a beautiful view of the old town from the banks of the Yèvre River.
