This château stands on a highpoint overlooking the village of Coussac in an archetypal Limousin landscape. Built in the mid-14C, it was internally remodelled during the 18C and 19C. Its quadrangular plan has corner towers with machicolations and pepperpot roofs. The interior is furnished with pieces from between the Renaissance and Directoire periods, and has portraits and documents pertaining to its illustrious owner Claude Alexandre Bonneval, also known as Ahmed Pacha.
