Chateau de Losse Interesting : Michelin's recommendations

The Renaissance main building of this 16C château standing on a rocky spur is flanked by a large round tower and an elegant terrace overlooking the Vézère. The main courtyard is accessed via a fixed bridge and a defensive gatehouse. The chateau interior is furnished in period style (16C-17C), giving an insight into how it would have been during the time of Jean II de Losse, tutor of King Henri IV and Governor of Guyenne, who once lived here. Outside, the lower garden was designed to be looked at from above, and the terraced gardens are inspired by 17C green chambers.
