The 3ha Jardins d’Eau created by Claude and Didier Bernard slope gently down to the Dordogne river. The stars of the show are the lotuses (some reach heights of 2m with leaves 70cm in diameter) and the water lilies. Don’t miss the large water-lily pond, which is just like a Monet painting, and the five varieties of Van Gogh-style iris. Also noteworthy are the terraced ponds, where you can touch and smell the water lilies, and the great variety of plants (on sale at the nursery).
