Annecy lake, the jewel of the Alps and the Savoie region has a very seductive air about it, with summits which frame its dark blue waters. 17km long with an area of 2 800 ha and a depth of 45 m. Which are made up of two basins formerly seperated by a barrier which is now underwater, it is fed by several water courses, one of which is the Eau Morte (the dead water), the over flow is taken out by the Thiou which crosses Annecy.
