The old residence of the counts of Geneva and the dukes of Genevois-Nemours possesses a range of buildings which were used from the 12 to the 16C. and then left abandoned. This chateau houses the Regional alpine lakes observatory (in the Stone Tower) , with its inevitable «interactive terminals», some painting exhibitions in the Hall of frescoes (many fragments of mural decorations from the 15C,) and a museum dedicated to local arts and traditions.
