Even if the building that you see is a reconstruction (within it however there is one of the most attractive Italianate theatres in Europe) the decorative fire curtain is the original, painted by Louis Vacca in 1824. It depicts the Descent of Orpheus into the Inferno. The theatre is in memory of the actor Charles Dullin, born in Savoie and who ensured the reputation of the theatre of L'Atelier in Paris.
