  Bonne cuisine inventive et bons produits. L'accueil est chaleureux et l'endroit est décoré avec goût. Le tiramisu maison vaut le détour.

  Great setting and Italian food. Finally found a proper Italian rest in Chamonix! We will come back again. Also impressed by the kindness of everyone in the restaurant! See you soon again :-).

  Quite expensive kids menu (1 dish and 1 sorbetto for 15 eur) - food was a proper quality (rigthly so), but 15 eur for a pasta dish and sorbetto ...

  Accueil chaleureux et agréable dans un cadre et une atmosphère cozy et familiale. Cuisine inventive et on ressent le respect des produits et des saveurs pour que le goût des plats soit restitué avec force! Tout est produit à la casa et ça se sent de l'amuse bouche au dessert (un semi freddo à la pêche à ravir). une belle découverte !!!

  un peu excentré et un prix qui ne permet pas d'en faire sa cantine quotidienne!

  Le cadre qui est sympathique mais cela ne suffit pas avec une cuisine sans saveur et un service brouillon.

  Cons

  Menu à 35 euros avec mise en bouche, entrée, plat et dessert et le tout sans aucune saveur. C'est la première fois que nous sommes confrontés avec mon épouse à ce genre de problème. Rien ne sauve cette cuisine. Présentation minimaliste et surtout aucun goût dans les plats. La salade printanière n'est même pas digne d'une cafétéria. Le plat principal, seiches avec pois verts et timbale de riz au safran est navrant. Même les deux minuscules profiterolles au citron sont râtées.

  Auro and Donatella Bucci used to own a wonderful restaurant in Courmayeur called La Clotze which we discovered on day when cross country skiing (as it is located in Val Ferret). We absolutely fell in love with them and everything about their food, wine, and philosophy.uro is an addict of slow food: food that follows recipes that you do not find in most restaurants. He tries to do everything using organic ingredients and often sauces have been cooking for several days before being served. All pasts is made in house so come here to discover the most wonderful dishes of the Piemont and Val d'Aosta regions such as rabbit ravioli and wild boar pasta.Recently the couple has left Courmayeur ot settle in Chamonix where they bought the Impossible, a famous restaurant in Chamonix center that used to be run by WIm Robberse. they have kept the delightful wooden interiors with the big open chimney (where they cook meats over the open fire).Donatella is one of the best hosts we know and her team is very professional. her daughter is not a sommelier but knows her wines like one and you will discover wonderful French and Italian wines, many of which are organic.To really understand the philosophy of Auro, just look at his web page and you will see that this is a rare breed of chef. I can imagine that the lady who seems to have had a bad experience caught them on a bad day as they only opened a few days before. I heartily recommend it as someone who has eaten in most restaurants in the Alps and would rate this up there amongst the more unique and more traditional. Donatella is also an excellent host and if you come for Valentine-s Day as we do each year (driving one hour from Geneva for the occasion) she is always dressed in a red dress and shoes to mark the occassion.
