The former Quartier d’Orient was built as of 1850 for the "winter visitors", who inhabited handsome villas – less fantastical than those in the Quartier Godillot – such as Léon-Antoinette, Tholozan, La Favorite and Ker-André, dotted around boulevard d’Orient and boulevard Chateaubriand
