Isola 2000 : Michelin's recommendations

Of all the major ski resorts in the Southern Alps, Isola 2000 is the nearest to the Côte d’Azur. Nestling in a beautiful mountainous cirque in the heart of the Parc National du Mercantour, this resort is just five minutes from the Italian border, and is an ideal base for hikes to the Lacs des Terre Rouge or Mont St-Sauveur. The Sanctuaire de Ste-Anne, on the Lombard pass by the Italian border, is well worth a visit.
