Le Bar-sur-Loup
: Michelin's recommendations
This tiny village, overlooking the Loup valley from its hilltop setting and looking across to Tourettes-sur-Loup, is surrounded by terraces of orange trees, jasmine and violets. As the fief of the county of Grasse, it has retained aspects of its illustrious past, such as the keep of its 16C castle and a number of religious treasures, including the large Louis Brea altarpiece, comprising 14 panels on a gilded base in the Église de St Jacques-le-Majeur.
