Things to see and do - Le Lavandou
Le Lavandou Travel guide
Le Lavandou : Michelin's recommendations
Sheltered from Cap Bénat, the family-friendly seaside resort of Le Lavandou is known for its "douze sables", twelve beaches stretching over 12km of coast, dotted with creeks as far as the neighbouring villages (Pramousquier, Cavalière). At the port, don’t miss the sight of the local pescadous returning from sea on their characteristic fishing boats, nets overflowing. Follow in the footsteps of the neo-Impressionist painters – such as Cross and Signac – who were inspired by St Clair, residing here between 1892 and 1926.
