In the Saint-Martin gardens, Mediterranean foliage scents the shaded streets which provide narrow passages onto the seafront. Here you will see a bronze statue of Albert 1, sculpted by François Cogné in 1951, and the relics of the Saint-Nicolas church, built before the cathedral.
