Presented in a very scholarly manner, the museum's prehistoric Anthropology collections recall the lives of the Côte d'Azur's first settlers. They include an impressive number of Homo sapien, skelletons, some of which are of Grimaldi negroids, in addition to tools and sepulture remains. The development of fauna and flora is also covered in the museum, and tied in with different climatic phases. Did you know that this region was once home to reindeer and hippopotomuses?
