The lower houses in this spectacular inland village are linked by “pountins” (small bridges) and are built into the rock to form a natural rampart, while its upper houses climb up the mountainside as far as the bell tower of the Église St-Sauveur. From Plaça dei Gleia enjoy superb views over the Esterel mountains, Mont Massourda and the St-Martin and Longa valleys. Don’t miss the late-15C frescoes by Jean Canavesio in the Chapelle des Pénitents Blancs.
