Roubion
: Michelin's recommendations
Sited high up above the valley of the Vionène (best visited during the October transhumance festival), Roubion is impressively situated, overshadowed by a rocky ridge and seemingly so precarious as to appear to defy gravity. It has retained its character, its narrow streets and old houses. The Chapelle St Sébastien has a dozen 16C frescoes executed in a naïve realist style, illustrating the life of this locally venerated saint.
