Sospel : Michelin's recommendations

The River Bévéra cuts through this historic small town, which was once an important staging post on the “salt road” linking Turin to the coast, as witnessed by the old bridge straddling the river. The Fort St-Roch is located just 1km from the centre of the village. This veritable underground city, 50m deep, was part of the Alpine Maginot line built in the 1930s.
