In Tourtour, the crest wooded with oaks and pines provides the ideal spot to breathe in the fresh air. Typically medieval, the village has two châteaux – from the 12C and 16C – and a maze of ancient little streets, vestiges of the fortifications of old. From the esplanade in front of the church, there is a splendid panorama (with a viewpoint indicator) over the Argens and Nartuby rivers. The view stretches as far as the Maures to the east and the Sainte Baume massif, and Mt Sainte Victoire and the Luberon to the west.
