Dominated from afar by the Aravis barrier, the village of La Clusaz has bred some wonderful skiers such as Guy Périllat and Edgar Grospiron. Its ski area, which has been around since the 1920s, is ideal for all sorts of skiing (alpine, long-distance, ski jump or acrobatic jump). Beginners and intermediate skiers will enjoy the Manigod slopes and the more experienced will prefer the Aiguille.
