The church is a splendid example of Late Romanesque architecture in the Alps: carved doorway, three-lobed rose-window and a square bell tower surmounted by a pyramid with gargoyles. Inside, a series of 16C paintings illustrate St-Paul's former importance in the Alps.

This daring feat of engineering, which spans the gorge at a height of 100m, was built in 1880. It commands great views of the St-Paul and Maurin basins.
At a height of 2 699m, this pass is on the edge of the Queyras Regional Nature Park. A 3hr-hike from the hamlets of La Barge and Maljasset leads up to the pass through the unspoilt Ubaye Valley.
