A forest road, leading into the lovely Prairie de Valombré, commands the best view of the Grande Chartreuse Monastery, framed by the escarpments of the Grand Som on the right and the forested ridges of the Aliénard on the left. Below, it is possible to see the buildings of the Correrie. The road ends at a roundabout. From there, a path climbs up to the viewpoint overlooking the wooded gorge of Guiers Mort.
