A steep incline (of up to 14%)! From the Col de Porte, you first traverse a forest cut across with mountain ramparts which become more and more dispersed, before coming out into pastureland. You can make an initial stop to enjoy the panoramic views at an altitude of 1 654m on the Plateau du Som, then continue on foot for another 30min. At the summit (1 867m altitude), if you make your way towards the steep slopes you will come across the Couvent de la Grande Chartreuse.
