Serre-Chevalier : Michelin's recommendations

Set in a bowl surrounded by mountains forming a backdrop to the action, "Serre-che" has a remarkable microclimate. Comprising the settlements of the Guisane Valley, this area has undergone major development (without disappearing under concrete), and today makes up the largest resort in the southern Alps. Many walks with splendid views; the summit of Serre-Chevalier (view of L'Oisans), tour of L'Eychauda (view of the Pelvoux massif), Lake du Combeynot (at the heart of the Écrins national park).
