These towers were erected in 1370 to protect the Great companies that invaded the province and are marked with the evocative names «Save», «People of Arms» and «Our lady of the Fort». Three of can be seen from the allée de Verdun, but there are two others - one near the post-office and the other at the base of the citadel.
