There is no castle in this square since 1589. However, there is a statue of General Dessaix, founder during the Revolution of the Club of Allobroges, to gather supporters for the unification of Savoy with France. From the terraces, beautiful views of the Swiss bank of Leman Lake, the Rives quarter, Ripaille Castle and in the background the Alps.
