Thonon port, situated in the Rives area, is an enjoyable spot with its lakeside coffee shop terraces, its piers and fishermen cottage fronts covered with creepers. On nice sunny days the beach, on the road to Ripaille, fills with people. Accessible from the city by a funicular railway.
