The sublime Grande Motte glacier is a symbol of the Vanoise park. It is used for all-year-round skiing and reached by an underground funicular. A giant cable-car takes visitors to the summit of the same name at an altitude of 3 656m where there is an exceptional panoramic view of the Bellecote peak, Tignes resort and lake, taking in Mont-Blanc and the Grande Sassière.
