The Espace Killy refers to some 100km2 of the skiing area linking Tignes to Val-d'Isère. Its size (300km of runs over a 2 000m difference in height, 100 ski lifts), high-quality snow cover and grandiose high-altitude scenery have earned it international fame. Val-d'Isère is steeper and more suited to experienced skiers, whereas Tignes has easier runs and it is possible to ski right into the resort.
