This massif stretches between the Isère Valley in the north and the Arc Valley in the south, covering nearly a third of Savoie. Heaven for skiers, walkers and mountaineers, the 530km2 of the central zone of the National Park created in 1963 have something for everyone. The peripheral zone boasts no less than 1 000km of runs, among which those of the Espace Killy and the Trois Vallées. All of which in a pristine mountain landscape that is also home to some 1 000 species of flower and innumerable ibex, chamois and marmots.
