The valleys of St-Bon (Courchevel, La Tania), Allues (Méribel) and Belleville (St-Martin-de-Belleville, Les Menuires and Val-Thorens) make up the largest skiing area in the Alps, covering 400km2. 210 ski-lifts ferry skiers to nearly 300 ski runs and slopes over 700km. The choice is vast: cross-country trails, off-piste skiing, wide boulevards or highly technical runs of the most difficult kind ("Bouquetin" at Mottaret, "Couloirs de la Saulire" at Courchevel, "Masse" at Les Ménuires).
