Confolens : Michelin's recommendations

Lying at the confluence of the River Vienne and the River Goire, this attractive medieval town has a pleasant ambience on account of its serene medieval architecture. The Middle Ages, however, also had its fair share of colour and dance, so it is entirely appropriate that in August each year Confolens bedecks itself with flaming torches and stages an international folklore festival featuring dance from around the world.
