Irouléguy : Michelin's recommendations

This little Basque village, with typical farms and whitewashed houses with red shutters, is famous for its wine. The vineyards here, first planted by monks from Roncevaux in the 13C, cover 200ha of slopes and have produced AOC wines since 1970.
