L'Herbe
: Michelin's recommendations
150 years ago, Léon Lesca (who had built the port of Algiers) commissioned a Moorish villa, the Villa Algérienne. All that now remains is its anachronistic chapel, facing the sea and bearing both cross and crescent. Fine view of the bay and the Île aux Oiseaux. In common with Cap Ferret, Le Canon, Le Piraillan, Le Piquey et Les Jacquets, L'Herbe is an oyster farming village and a protected site; a reflection of the degree of interest aroused and the attention received from far and wide.
