This majestic alley of elm trees, which extends past Charruyer Park and ends at the war memorial created by Joaquim Costa, is a favourite walk for the inhabitants of La Rochelle. Orbigny Park and Delmas Park border it on the seaward side.

This museum features the world of transport in miniature, with models of lorries and cars, a submarine, railway tracks, a reconstructed naval battle, and steam locomotives.

These low wooden houses, former boat repair workshops, lent their name to the quarter that extends to the West of the large basin. After being destroyed by a fire, it was rebuilt and now houses craftsmen, the University and museums.

Three floating basins in deep water (Lazaret, Bout-Blanc and Marillac) can hold 3,200 keel boats of all types. It was the first yachting port on this side of the Atlantic.
