The Arangorena, a refreshing river spanned by a Roman bridge, runs through this charming village, lined on one side by traditional houses with slate roofs. A pretty overhanging Romanesque church sports an original belltower-wall with a square steeple, the only remains of a hospital inn and commandery of the Augustinians of Roncevaux, who were established in this village, a stopover on the pilgrimage to Compostella.
