Port-Joinville
: Michelin's recommendations
At the heart of Île d’Yeu life, Port-Joinville is named after a son of Louis-Philippe. A lovely view of the port awaits those arriving by boat, its brightly-coloured fishing vessels clanking in the breeze. In the background are the port’s white houses bordering the quayside. Much of the harbour is emptied of water at low tide. Beyond the quayside, Port-Joinville has an extensive main street and numerous narrow lanes of fishermen’s houses.
